Softball Recap: Caruthersville Tigers vs. Malden Green Wave

Caruthersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell victim to a rough 21-12 loss at the hands of the Malden Green Wave. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Caruthersville of the 18-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Malden's part, Kinley Buchanan made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and eight unearned) runs off 12 hits. Buchanan was even better at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.
