Basketball Recap: Newaygo Victorious

Newaygo's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 win over the Hesperia Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since January 30, 2024.

Newaygo's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Hesperia, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

Newaygo will challenge Hart at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hesperia has already played their next matchup (against Ravenna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
