Soccer Game Preview: Hueneme vs. Nordhoff

The Hueneme Vikings will challenge the Nordhoff Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hueneme will be strutting in after a win while Nordhoff will be coming in after a defeat.

Hueneme headed into their last match having not scored more than one goal for six straight, but Channel Islands let them put that streak behind them. Everything went Hueneme's way against Channel Islands on Friday as Hueneme made off with a 4-1 victory. The score was close at the half, but the Vikings pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Meanwhile, Nordhoff fell victim to Fillmore and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flashes. The Rangers have struggled against the Flashes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Hueneme's win bumped their record up to 4-8-2. As for Nordhoff, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1.

Hueneme took their victory against Nordhoff in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1. Will Hueneme repeat their success, or does Nordhoff have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
