Softball Recap: East Central Hornets vs. Lafayette Commodores
East Central extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Lafayette. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Commodores. The victory was familiar territory for the Hornets, who have now won three contests in a row.

Abby Danis made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Sheppard, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
East Central's record is now 30-7. As for Lafayette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 27-10.
