Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Lane Schock stepped things up a notch to give Prairie the 'W'. Schock was dynamite, rushing for 256 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Prairie's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. Schock and Prairie will face off against Stratton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Justin Schreiner Has Career Rushing Day

Justin Schreiner posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he posted at least 108 rushing yards in the fifth games prior. He also punched in four rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Prairie is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the year, Schreiner has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 124.9 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 34.71 rushing yards per game.

Pittington Posts Huge Game in 41-8 Victory

North Park's ten-game losing streak dating back to last season is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Gavin Pittington. Nobody could stop Pittington on Saturday as he rushed for 262 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Those 262 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Pittington must have Weldon Valley's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Pittington rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in September of 2023.
