Basketball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Comes Up Short

Whitehall-Yearling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the St. Francis DeSales Stallions 81-53. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while the Stallions are ranked 68th).

Whitehall-Yearling's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for St. Francis DeSales, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Whitehall-Yearling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Francis DeSales, they will face off against Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Granville sitting on three straight victories and St. Francis DeSales on five.
