Volleyball Game Preview: Murrieta Valley Nighthawks vs. Liberty Bison

The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks will venture away from home to take on the Liberty Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Murrieta Valley has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Murrieta Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday. Murrieta Valley fell just short of Rancho Cucamonga by a score of 2-1.

Murrieta Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-13, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Liberty didn't have quite enough to beat Redlands on Saturday and fell 1-0.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Murrieta Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.

Murrieta Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Liberty in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Murrieta Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
