Kokomo has gone a perfect 5-0 against Marion recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Wildkats will look to defend their home field against the Giants at 10:00 a.m. Kokomo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Kokomo earned a 6-3 win over North Miami.

Emma Lees made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lees was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lanaya Buckner, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Amirah Marciniak was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Alexandria-Monroe, falling 13-0.

Kokomo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Everything went Kokomo's way against Marion when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Kokomo made off with a 15-3 win. Do the Wildkats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Giants turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
