Soccer Recap: Vestal Takes a Loss

After flying high against Horseheads last Thursday, Vestal came back down to earth. The Golden Bears fell just short of the Corning-Painted Post Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Vestal couldn't quite close it out.

Vestal's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Corning-Painted Post, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Vestal will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Elmira at 7:15 p.m. on the 30th. As for Corning-Painted Post, they will be playing at home against Horseheads at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
