Willard and Huron are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Willard Crimson Flashes will take on the Huron Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Willard saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against Crestview by a score of 49-37. Given the Crimson Flashes' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Cougars are ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Huron had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past Port Clinton with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Willard has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for Huron, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Willard took their victory against Huron in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 56-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Willard since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
