It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but College Park ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Acalanes Dons, sneaking past 5-3. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sebastian Alvarez looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Riley Meadows, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent 'Tino' Vasell, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

College Park has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Acalanes, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8-1.

College Park will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
