Volleyball Recap: Holliday Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Holliday had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Windthorst Trojans by a score of 3-1. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Holliday had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-15.

Holliday's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Windthorst, they moved to 23-9 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Holliday and Windthorst should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Eagles will face off against City View at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th with a big rank advantage (168 vs. 924). Meanwhile, Windthorst (ranked 273rd) will meet Petrolia (ranked 1098th) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
