Basketball Recap: Make It 13 in a Row for Pathways College Prep

Pathways College Prep put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 55-49 W over York Early College Academy. Given the Trailblazers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while York Early College Academy are ranked 552nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pathways College Prep's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for York Early College Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Pathways College Prep is taking a road trip to square off against Goddard Communications Arts & Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pathways College Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Goddard Communications Arts & Tech likes a good challenge. As for York Early College Academy, they will take on Gateway to Health Sciences at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
