Basketball Recap: Donna Skates Past Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial with Ease

Donna won the last time they faced Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Redskins blew past the Wolverines, posting a 51-15 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Redskins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Donna to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sonya Perez, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Perez has posted since back in December of 2024. Yetlixa Villarreal also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Donna was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win got Donna back to even at 3-3. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Donna will face off against Economedes at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they will take on Rio Hondo at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
