Softball Recap: Baldwin Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Baldwin strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Lahainaluna Lunas 13-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-2 back in March.

Kalia DeMello (Kalia) was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Kekia Kaaa-Saltiban was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Baldwin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .714. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Baldwin's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Lahainaluna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
