Softball Recap: Mildred Comes Up Short

Mildred and Hawkins squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mildred had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 14-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Thursday.

Parker Kittrell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was KK Jenkins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Mildred has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season. As for Hawkins, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-11-1.

As of now, neither Mildred nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
