Basketball Recap: Wilcox Comes Up Short

Wilcox has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by the Los Gatos Wildcats and fell 77-38. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Los Gatos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Oppenheimer, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Martin, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Wilcox's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Los Gatos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilcox and Washington will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Washington will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Wilcox surely won't give up without a fight. As for Los Gatos, they will take on Mountain View at 7:45 p.m. on January 17th.
