Recap: Covenant Christian Cougars vs. Lake Country Christian Eagles
The Covenant Christian Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 70-47 margin over Lake Country Christian. Given Covenant Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Lake Country Christian is ranked 1055th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Lake Country Christian still got an impressive performance from Josiah Biddle, who scored 17 points. The contest was Biddle's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sam Foley, who scored six points.
Covenant Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Lake Country Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will take on Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Country Christian, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Pantego Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th.
