Basketball Recap: Sturgis' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Sturgis had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Central Bearcats by a score of 37-30 on Monday. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Sturgis' win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Sturgis and Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Sturgis will square off against Plainwell at 7:15 p.m. on Friday down 381 places (480 vs. 99). Similarly, Central (ranked 444th) will meet Norrix (ranked 215th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
