Soccer Game Preview: Arvin vs. Foothill

The Arvin Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Foothill Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Arvin turned things around against North on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Stars 2-1.

While Foothill's fans didn't get a definitive result last Friday, they were treated to the team's highest-scoring tie of the season. Neither they nor Del Oro could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Bryan Lopez Ortega and Angell Cortes scored both of Foothill's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Arvin's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12-3. Foothill's draw makes their record 10-6-4 this season.
