Preview: Northwest Halifax Vikings vs. Warren County Eagles
The Northwest Halifax Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warren County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Halifax will be strutting in after a win while Warren County will be coming in after a defeat.
Northwest Halifax stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Weldon 55-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Northwest Halifax has posted since December 5, 2023.
Camaya Adkins was her usual excellent self, scoring 30 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Northwest Halifax's points. Another player making a difference was Aleigha Allen, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Warren County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Vance County at home and fell 60-11. Warren County has not had much luck with Vance County recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Northwest Halifax's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Warren County, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for Northwest Halifax against Warren County when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 56-29 win. Does Northwest Halifax have another victory up their sleeve, or will Warren County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
