Basketball Recap: Ashley Ridge Victorious

West Ashley came into Monday's match looking for another win against Ashley Ridge, but Clayton Everett Jr wouldn't allow it. The Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over the West Ashley Wildcats on Monday thanks in part to Everett Jr, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Everett Jr is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why West Ashley lost, don't look at Damon Junior. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Kendell Mack was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Ashley Ridge's record now sits at 14-5. As for West Ashley, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-7.
