Basketball Recap: Oelwein's Losing Streak Snapped at 11 Games

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oelwein). They blew past the West Central Blue Devils, posting a 73-31 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Oelwein's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for West Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oelwein will venture away from home to take on Sumner-Fredericksburg at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sumner-Fredericksburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. As for West Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Clayton-Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
