Baseball Game Preview: Barrington Eagles vs. Mt. Hope Huskies

The Barrington Eagles will challenge the Mt. Hope Huskies at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Barrington's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Mt. Hope has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Barrington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: North Kingstown, who was ranked tenth at the time (Barrington was ranked sixth). The Eagles came up short against the Skippers on Monday, falling 16-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Bishop Hendricken hit Mt. Hope with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies lost 11-1 to the Hawks.

Mt. Hope's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Barrington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Barrington beat Mt. Hope 7-3 when the teams last played on April 5th. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
