Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Latta's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Latta unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to the Allen Mustangs 55-49. The matchup was a 28-28 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Allen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Prentice, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points. Prentice is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Stoney Cully, who posted 12 points.

Latta's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5. As for Allen, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Latta will host Tishomingo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Allen, they will venture away from home to square off against Stonewall at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
