The Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars''s eight-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top against Bogota by a score of 20-13. Given Montclair Kimberley Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Bogota is ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Kalvin Thomas, who rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Nate Chou also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.
Montclair Kimberley Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Bogota, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
