Cherryville's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Lincoln Charter on Friday. Cherryville put the hurt on the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons with a sharp 18-0 win. The Ironmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Grace Capps made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
