Whitmer had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northview Wildcats 52-10. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Wildcats are ranked 514th).

Whitmer had a senior duo take command as Joey Morales gained 201 total yards and three touchdowns and Jamon Holmes rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Holmes' longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Born, who threw for 171 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes.

Whitmer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 349 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.

One reason for the win was Whitmer's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Zack Aubry and Jameel Lyons, who racked up five sacks between them.
