Softball Preview: WestSide Renegades vs. Scott Skyhawks
The WestSide Renegades will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Scott Skyhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
WestSide fell victim to Tug Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Renegades in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Scott posted their closest win since April 15, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Wayne 7-5.
Cambri Barker was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Barker was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Scott let Alyssa Shultz and Haven Tomblin run wild. Shultz scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Tomblin went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
