Norco is a perfect 10-0 against Corona since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Norco Cougars duke it out with Corona Panthers at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Norco 1.7, Corona 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Norco faced another nationally ranked opponent in their previous game: El Modena, who was ranked third at the time (Norco was ranked seventh). Norco fell just short of El Modena by a score of 5-4 two weeks ago. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Corona never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Moreno Valley last Tuesday. They blew past the Vikings 13-6. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Corona's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Norco, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.

Norco took their victory against Corona in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. Does Norco have another victory up their sleeve, or will Corona turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
