Danville is 6-1 against Good Hope since January of 1900 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Danville Hawks will challenge the Good Hope Raiders at 6:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Danville challenged Cold Springs on Tuesday. Danville managed a 55-51 win over Cold Springs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

East Lawrence typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Good Hope proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 67-54 victory over the Eagles. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Eagles are ranked 71st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Good Hope pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Danville, they are also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season.

Danville lost to Good Hope on the road by a decisive 58-40 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Danville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
