Meanwhile, John Champe kicked off their season on Thursday but they'll have to wait until their next matchup for a more definitive result. Neither they nor Dominion could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Stone Bridge beat John Champe by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stone Bridge since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
