Basketball Recap: Carrick Takes a Loss

Carrick suffered their biggest defeat since January 10th on Wednesday. They came up short against the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles, falling 65-45. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 60-44 defeat back in January.

This is the second loss in a row for Carrick and nudges their season record down to 13-10. As for Obama Academy of International Studies, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Carrick will welcome Bedford at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th. Carrick is facing Bedford at the right time seeing as Bedford is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Obama Academy of International Studies, they will challenge Taylor Allderdice at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Taylor Allderdice will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Obama Academy of International Studies surely won't give up without a fight.
