Football Recap: Victory Christian Academy's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Victory Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 65-18 takedown of Temple Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prince of Peace Eagles on Friday. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.

Prince of Peace was led to victory by Tripp Wilcoxson and JoeJoe Sapaula. Wilcoxson threw for 181 yards and four touchdowns, while Sapaula gained 159 total yards and a touchdown. Wilcoxson is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Victory Christian Academy fell to 2-1. As for Prince of Peace, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will challenge Gold-Burg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Prince of Peace, they will take on Wylie Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
