Volleyball Recap: Chariho Takes a Loss

Chariho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the La Salle Academy Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-3.

Olivia Lowell paced Chariho's offense, picking up five kills. Lowell also shared the team's lead in assists with Abby Tiernan: they picked up three each. Siena Ducharme controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chariho's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for La Salle Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chariho will venture away from home to square off against Cranston West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for La Salle Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Prout at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
