Softball Game Preview: Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs vs. Pleasantville Trojans

The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs will face off against the Pleasantville Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Prairie City-Monroe's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Roland-Story. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Norsemen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Pleasantville waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Hawks 9-3.

Prairie City-Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Pleasantville, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Prairie City-Monroe was able to grind out a solid victory over Pleasantville in their previous matchup back in June of 2024, winning 6-3. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
