Volleyball Recap: Anoka Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Anoka posted their closest win since April 5th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Champlin Park Rebels 3-2.

Anoka wouldn't go down easily and took Champlin Park into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-20, 25-13, 22-25, 15-5.

Mark Mosneguta paced Anoka's offense, picking up 19 kills. Mosneguta got some help from Hank Anderson and his 28 assists. Mosneguta was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Anoka pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Champlin Park, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Anoka is set to square off against their familiar foe Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Champlin Park will challenge rival Spring Lake Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
