Football Game Preview: Hayden Tigers vs. Plateau Valley Cowboys

The Hayden Tigers will take on the Plateau Valley Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayden is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 35 points per game this season.

Hayden took a loss when they played away from home on September 13th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Lake County 58-6. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-0.

Hayden didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Noah Weber led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Matt Heaney got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Plateau Valley faced West Grand in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cowboys took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The game marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although Plateau Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Hunter White and London Mitchell.

Having lost for the first time this season, Plateau Valley fell to 4-1. As for Hayden, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
