Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln lost against Silver Creek back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lincoln Lions took a 75-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Creek Raiders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Joseph Shelton, who posted 31 points and eight rebounds. The matchup was Shelton's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaymes Purvis, who had ten points.

Lincoln is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8. As for Silver Creek, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-10.

Lincoln has already played their next game, a 50-49 victory against Prospect on the 24th. As for Silver Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-53 defeat against Independence on the 24th.
