Soccer Game Preview: Union vs. Camas

The Union Titans will face off against the Camas Papermakers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Union is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Skyview a 9-0 shutout on Friday. The win was familiar territory for Union, who have now won three matches in a row.

Meanwhile, Camas hasn't lost a match since March 22nd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Battle Ground. Given Camas' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Battle Ground are ranked 199th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Union's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Camas, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-5.
