Volleyball Recap: Concordia Comes Up Short

Concordia was the 3-1 winner over Lincoln when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Orioles lost 3-0 to the Cardinals on Monday. The Fighting Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Concordia was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lincoln's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-23.

Concordia's offense was headlined by Aubrey Roepe and Erin Heimsoth, who picked up six kills apiece. Roepe really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 23. Heimsoth was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Concordia's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Coming up, Concordia will take on Sweet Springs at 6:15 p.m. on the 7th. As for Lincoln, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Green Ridge on the 30th.
