Softball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short

Lutheran North has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.63 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Divine Child Falcons. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Mikenna Campisi was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Addison Wodowski, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Lutheran North has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-4 record this season. As for Divine Child, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Lutheran North has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Athens on the 8th. As for Divine Child, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against Regina on the 9th.
