Basketball Recap: North Forsyth Takes a Loss

North Forsyth lost against Winston-Salem Prep back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The North Forsyth Vikings had to suffer through a 82-42 loss at the hands of the Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Phoenix are ranked 106th).

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Frankie Mabe, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kashawn Windley, who posted seven points.

Winston-Salem Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ahmir Wiggins, who put up 18 points. Jace Covington was another key player, putting up 14 points.

North Forsyth is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Winston-Salem Prep, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

North Forsyth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-63 loss against Carver on the 20th. As for Winston-Salem Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-59 victory against Glenn on the 20th.
