Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Valley Comes Up Short

Kankakee Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Andrean Fighting 59ers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting 59ers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

While Kankakee Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Andrean's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 28-11, 25-12, 25-24.

Kankakee Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Andrean, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Kankakee Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against South Central on the 10th. As for Andrean, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Morgan Township on the 7th.
