A Season-Best Performance from Omarean Ellis Leads Jackson Academy over St. Joseph Catholic
Jackson Academy was led to victory by Omarean Ellis, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ellis rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023.

Hartfield Academy's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Catchings and Hartfield Academy are taking a road trip to challenge Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Billy Puckett was instrumental in extending Jackson Prep's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Puckett as he threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Puckett might have his next game, a road matchup with Presbyterian Christian, circled on his calendar. When Puckett last faced the Bobcats back in October of 2023, he threw for 296 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Samuel Stockett Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Samuel Stockett of Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Stockett threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
The win (which was Madison-Ridgeland Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Stockett and Madison-Ridgeland Academy have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Hartfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
