Wellington entered their tilt with Palm Beach Gardens on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Palm Beach Gardens Gators. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tori Payne was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Erryn Lowe, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Wellington's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Palm Beach Gardens, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.
