Soccer Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hurricane Redskins.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Hurricane, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1-1.

Coming up, Jefferson will take on Martinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson will be up against Martinsburg's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hurricane, they will venture away from home to square off against Washington at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hurricane's defense better be ready for this one: Washington have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season.
