Football Recap: Centennial Huskies vs. Beaumont Cougars
Centennial lost against Beaumont two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Huskies fell 21-14 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Cougars are ranked 17th).

Centennial didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Brystal Albright. Albright is crushing it when it comes to interceptions: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
Beaumont found their leader in sophomore Tessa Martinez, who threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards on only eight carries. The Cougars' leading receiver Lillyana Nunez was Martinez's top target yet again, picking up 73 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Centennial has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Beaumont, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Centennial didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-6 win against Norco on the 25th. As for Beaumont, they will head out to challenge Chino at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
