Baseball Recap: Marquette Catholic Takes a Loss

Marquette Catholic lost against Belleville East back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Explorers lost 19-6 to the Lancers.

Joe Stephan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Will Fahnestock, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Marquette Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Belleville East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Marquette Catholic will venture away from home to take on Althoff Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belleville East, they will square off against Belleville West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Lancers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
