Softball Recap: Smithsburg Comes Up Short

Smithsburg came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Brunswick Railroaders by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Railroaders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Smithsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Brunswick, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Smithsburg will challenge rival Catoctin at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Brunswick is set to face off against their familiar foe Williamsport at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
